Club La Costa have a number of products and usually offer a FREE Weeks holiday to get you on their system.

You would usually then get offered the Trial Membership or a Destinations Product.  Ultimately both products are a “hook” into what they really want to sell you, which is their “points product” known as Vacations Club.  If they can get you to a presentation in Spain or the UK, you may be invited to a holiday which is either FREE or one where you have to make a small contribution.  That holiday could even occur after a Trial Membership (which some people are sold), which consists of 5 holidays in total, designed to give you a taste of the Club La Costa Experience.  You will likely be offered, in addition, a PRELUDE WEEK where they will actually try to sell you the Vacations Club Product or a Destinations Product.

When you go on that week, a presentation will likely be arranged and its then you’ll be told about the Vacation Club, which is a Points System.  The reason we believe this is done is because the 5 Holidays are a Loss Leader designed to get you to taste what they have, and at the soonest opportunity, get you to upgrade to the Vacation Club Points System.  These are expensive holidays but in some resorts excellent luxury and more importantly they can now begin to make some profit which may be why you are invited to a meeting on your PRELUDE Holiday.

We have Forums that consist of many members who share this experience, so we know that this actually happens.  You can interact with these people and discuss with them, what they did in your circumstances.

One of their latest Ventures is to buy Private Homes which is a form of Buy To Let in Europe.  In our opinion better value can be obtained by doing this yourself, even though CLC guarantee you some rentals. We hope to bring you alternative solutions to buying abroad without the need to buy from Club la Costa.  Stay tuned and join us if you want more information

Another new Venture is their Yacht Club, which doesn’t fall into the Timeshare Directive in Europe, so make sure of what you are buying.
